[B]It』s so good to find a Siltech fan club here.I live in Taipei, Taiwan but my Chinese is not good enough to write so sorry that I will use English. Sorry for that.
I just want to share with you my happiness recently. I was lucky enough to buy a bunch of Siltech bare wire cable from a big loud speaker』s manufacturer in Utah, USA (everybody know this company). They bought those cables long ago and used them for testing speakers/audio equipments. These cables are leftover from their usage. All are authentic.
The cables include:
- Siltech Compass Lake G6 core 2,0mm: 1x 9.8m (32ft): X-balanced twisted double-cores.
- Siltech Compass Lake G6 core 2,0mm: 2x 2.7m (8ft): similar to X-balanced version but 2 straight single wires not twisted.
- Siltech Forbes Lake G6 core 1.2mm: 1x 10m: only one wire not twisted yet, only yellow color
- Siltech SQ-110 Mk2 G5 1.0mm: 2x 26m (total 52m), in 2 colors: black and white
- 2x7.8m Nordost Valhalla unfinished wire.
I can recognize the Compass Lake and Forbes Lake wire easily, but for the 1.0mm SQ-110 I needed to ask Mr. R (who knows about Siltech better than most of us) to help me with the confirmation. Mr. R, if you read this post, thank you very much for your help!
Now, I don』t know what to do with 9.7m Compass Lake 2.0mm wire: should I cut them into 5 pairs of 1m interconnects, or just make a Bi-wire 2.45m speaker cable. Is it the same level with Siltech Double Crown or The Emperor speaker cable? Any body have information about this?
With the Nordost Valhalla wire, they』re also authentic one, not fake ones from China. Does it sound better than Siltech Compass Lake, Forbes Lake or SQ-110? Anybody give me some suggestions. I』m also wondering what should I do with them: cut them into 2m 4-core speaker wires, or making 2m 7-core Valhalla power cable (like the original), or or make some XLR or RCA interconnects? It it doesn』t sound as good as the Siltech then I will just sell it.

Hello chuongha : What a lucky guy you are, congratulations ! let me answer one of your question first, Double crown wire is double of 1.2mm wire for each "+" and "-" on speaker cable, its different from Compass Lake (Or Ruby Mountain) which is a single wire. Compass Lake more similar to Emperor speaker cable. Since you already have 2x2.7 m Compass Lake core, I would like to suggest you to make 1x9.8 m core as 2.45m speaker cable.
